Cheryl Graves
ATC, CPT, Physical Mind, Owner
Featured in Shape Magazine (Sept ’02) for her expertise as a “Cutting Edge Trainer”, Cheryl offers over 20 years of experience in fitness and rehabilitation. "Like an experienced auto mechanic, I know how to locate the problem and fine- tune it. " Cheryl’s specialty is taking a body that is “falling apart” and putting it back together again by combining a perfect blend of fitness training and Pilates.
Since 1985, Cheryl has been a personal trainer in Pasadena, Beverly Hills, Malibu and Westlake Village. She received her degree in Physical Education/ Athletic Training from Azusa Pacific University and carries National Certifications in Personal Training and Pilates (NATA, NASM, ACE and Physical Mind Institute).
In addition to her training, Cheryl pioneered a successful Sports Medicine Curriculum and Injury Prevention Program for coaches, athletes and students, while leading Cheerleaders to three State and two National titles. Sought out by a Physical Therapy Clinic in Westlake Village in 2003, Cheryl also established a successful Pilates program for injury rehabilitation.
"I also share in the struggle for weight loss." Like most girls, Cheryl struggled with the perfect body images in front of her and tried unsuccessfully to fit in a mold that was impossible to attain. “You can’t trade your body in for a new one, you have to learn to embrace what you have and take care of it!” Through her training Cheryl was able to transform herself from a size 16 to a size 4. She has the depth of understanding it takes to motivate others toward a better quality of life.
